The challenge is to create an energy-efficient library for detecting and reading QR codes from a static image in the iOS and Android environments and making the library available for React Native.

Sustainable Energy in Buildings

This challenge is about using energy metrics from a simulated building to allow using energy more efficiently. More and more buildings have some kind of energy monitoring systems but they might not work together or data from them might not be used to actually improve energy consumption. How could the data be used to actually reduce energy consumption and by extension energy costs for tenants of buildings?

As with all Boost events, this hackathon will be completely free of charge for all participants 😎 see you there!

You can attend both alone, or with a team of friends. If you don’t have a team and want one, we will find you one! Max team size is 5.

Yes! Boost will provide free food such as lunches and snacks during the event.

No! Digital Sustainability Hackathon is all about coding, and coding is required if you want to win any prizes 🙂

Prior knowledge of coding is not strictly required. However to get most out of this event, at least a willingness to learn how to code is crucial.
