QR Code Reader

Description

The challenge is to create an energy-efficient library for detecting and reading QR codes from a static image in the iOS and Android environments and making the library available for React Native.

Participants are given sample images with QR codes visible in various locations and dimensions. The task is to create reusable iOS and Android libraries that can detect and retrieve the content of the QR codes regardless of their position or dimensions in the reference image.

Scoring

The challenge is scored in 3 different parts:

• Native iOS library, which is capable of reading all the reference images with minimal CPU and memory utilization, resulting in minimal battery consumption.
• Native Android library, which is capable of reading all the reference images with minimal CPU and memory utilization, resulting in minimal battery consumption.
• React Native application that is runnable on both platforms utilizing the native libraries created accordingly.

Prizes

• 1500€ for the winning team
• 750€ for the second team.
